Biography

Liam P. Hardy is a Lecturer at Harvard Law School and a Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He previously served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel and was a litigation partner at the Washington D.C. office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Judge Hardy's judicial experience includes clerking for Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States and Chief Judge David B. Sentelle of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, as well as Judge Margaret Ryan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, and a B.S.E. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
