Dr. Liam Kane Grade

Biography

Liam Kane-Grade is a faculty member at the Wisconsin School of Business, specializing in teaching business communication to Bachelor of Business Administration students. Prior to joining the Wisconsin School of Business, he taught various composition and creative writing courses at multiple campuses including the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. At UW-Platteville, he advised the student newspaper and coordinated English placement. With a background as a reporter for Wisconsin Silicon Valley, he covered diverse topics including technology, education, and local government. Kane-Grade has expertise in teaching effective interviewing, networking, and concise writing skills necessary for professional communications. His educational background includes a B.A./J.B.A. in Journalism, English, and Classics from UW-Madison, an M.A. in Journalism from Stanford University, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota. His graduate work has focused on data analysis and communication strategies in journalism. Kane-Grade is committed to designing course materials that help students develop practical writing skills tailored to their strengths, engaging them in debates on communication strategies while drawing connections to their professional experiences.
