Biography

Liam is the Director and co-founder of BehaviourWorks Australia (BWA), one of Australia’s leading authorities on behaviour change. Since establishing BWA in 2011, he has overseen its significant growth, employing 20 researchers and directly involving himself in conducting and overseeing over 100 behaviour change research projects. The BWA team consists of researchers from various backgrounds and disciplines, utilizing their collective expertise to undertake applied behaviour change research in collaboration with government and industry professionals. BWA acts as a bridge between academic research and practical, real-world solutions. Liam has led the development of the research methodology employed to inform and design behaviour change interventions to improve efficacy. An exceptional public speaker, he emphasizes the importance of education and training in the broader uptake and application of behavioural insights, delivering accredited education and public presentations both in Australia and internationally. He also contributes actively to Zoos Victoria’s Science Committee and VicHealth’s Leading Thinker Taskforce.
