Prof. Wang is currently the principal investigator at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences, and Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, China, leading a research group focused on theoretical experimental microbiology (TEM). Prof. Wang serves as an associate editor for Frontiers in Microbiology and is on the editorial board of several other journals. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and has edited more than 10 books. In 2019, he was awarded the Australia-China Helicobacter Research Fellowship.
