Biography

Liang joined Southampton Law School in January 2020, having worked at the City University of Hong Kong since 2014. He has taught predominantly Maritime Law, Insurance Law, International Trade Law, and Private International Law at both the City University of Hong Kong and the University of Southampton. Liang has served as a Visiting Scholar for the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law in 2008 and was an Academic Visitor at the City Law School of City University London in 2014. He also worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Maritime Law Centre of the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore from 2016 to 2019. His research interests are focused on Maritime Law, Insurance Law, Conflict laws, and Chinese law, with numerous publications and contributions to reputable periodicals and academic books in these fields.
