Liliana Andrea Morales Laverde holds a PhD degree in Biotechnology from the Public University of Navarre. Currently, she is a member of a research group led by Associate Professor Trobos, focused on studying biomaterial-associated infections and developing innovative models to study bacterial-host-biomaterial interactions. Additionally, she serves as a co-project manager for SHIELD, a major international research project dedicated to enhancing the longevity of devices associated with implant infections, which has been awarded substantial funding from the EU’s Horizon Europe program.
