Biography

Lillian Kendall-Langley is an igneous petrologist and geochemist with expertise in mineral exploration, particularly in intrusion-related mineral systems and a specific focus on Cu-porphyry deposits and pegmatite-related mineralisation. She completed her MSc at the University of Western Australia in 2016, with a thesis on the trace element, U-Pb, Lu-Hf investigation of the source and emplacement differentiation of rare metal pegmatite fields. Lillian received her PhD from the University of Western Australia, focusing her research on applied microanalytical techniques to examine the behavior of volatile species responsible for the transport of Cu, Au, and Mo in arc-related magmas, with a thesis titled “Assessing the petrogenetic importance of apatite inclusions in zircon for constraining volatile behavior in arc magmas.” She held a consulting position at RSC Mining & Mineral Exploration from 2020 to 2022 and joined SQM International Lithium as a Senior Generative Geologist in January 2023. In recognition of her ongoing contributions to teaching and research activities, she was appointed Adjunct Research Fellow at the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Western Australia in 2023.
