Biography

Lillian Sosa holds a BA in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry from Skidmore College, which she completed in 2007. After her undergraduate studies, she pursued a career in genetic counseling and earned her MS in Genetic Counseling from the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine at Boston University in 2014. Prior to joining Boston University's faculty, Lillian was a senior genetic counselor at Maimonides Cancer Center, where she coordinated programs in the Division of Pediatric Genetics at Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She actively worked with a multidisciplinary cleft lip and palate team and was involved in the genetics core curricula for pediatric residency. In her current role at Boston Medical Center, she serves as a clinical counselor in the Antenatal Testing Unit, where she provides genetic counseling in a prenatal setting.
