Biography

Lily Dove is an Assistant Professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She specializes in polar oceanography and focuses on a range of research areas including oceanic biophysical interactions, ocean ventilation circulation, and the development of ocean observations technology. Lily is also engaged in numerical modeling and geoscience equity research. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science & Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, which she completed in 2023, as well as a Master of Science in the same field from Caltech obtained in 2021. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Earth, Atmospheric, & Planetary Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018. Her research interests intersect ocean science with climate biogeochemistry and cryospheric science, emphasizing the importance of understanding these dynamic systems in the context of climate change.
