Lin Li is a postdoctoral researcher in the Oxford Applied Theoretical Machine Learning (OATML) Group within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Professor Yarin Gal. Prior to joining Oxford, Lin completed a Ph.D. in Machine Learning at King’s College London, where their research focussed on enhancing the robustness of machine learning models. Lin has also interned at Tencent’s Robotics X Lab, where they contributed to enabling robots to learn throwing and catching skills through human demonstrations. Lin's research interests include AI Safety, with a focus on topics such as hallucination, jailbreaking, safety alignment, and adversarial machine learning. They are particularly interested in LLM-based agents and areas such as autonomous complex decision-making, simulation of human behavior, and societal dynamics. In addition to foundational research, Lin explores the application of machine learning to real-world challenges in domains such as healthcare, robotics, and economics.
