Dr. Linda Berg

Biography

Linda Berg, PhD, is a senior lecturer in political science at the University of Gothenburg and serves as the Director of Studies at the Centre for European Studies (CES). She administrates cross-disciplinary educational programs in European studies and is an associated researcher at the Centre for European Research (CERGU). Her main research interests focus on aspects of the European integration process from a multi-level perspective, particularly political attitudes, identification, and voting behavior. She has significant involvement in studying the Swedish European Parliament elections and has also researched regional elections concerning local authorities' connections to the EU. Linda teaches various courses in the European studies programs and has been recognized with several awards for her pedagogical contributions. Her recent research projects have addressed governance and migration issues, as well as political cleavages. She has published extensively, including journal articles and book chapters, contributing to the discourse on European political trust and welfare attitudes.
