Biography

Linda Bushnell is a Research Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington - Seattle. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994, an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1989, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut - Storrs in 1987, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut - Storrs in 1985. Additionally, she earned an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business in 2010. Her research interests include networked control systems and cyber-physical systems. Bushnell is a Fellow of IEEE for her contributions to networked control systems and a Fellow of IFAC for her work in the analysis and design of such systems. She has received several awards, including the Army Superior Civilian Service Award and the NSF ADVANCE Fellowship. She is actively involved in the IEEE, having been a member since 1985 and serving various roles within the organization.
