Dr. Linda Greenhouse

Biography

Linda Greenhouse is a Senior Research Scholar at Yale Law School, where she has focused her career on the United States Supreme Court. Over her 40-year journalism career, she has contributed significantly to public awareness and understanding of pivotal legal issues through her columns and writings. Greenhouse received the Pulitzer Prize in 1998 for her distinguished reporting, demonstrating her ability to translate complex legal matters for general audiences. She has authored several books, including a biography of Justice Harry Blackmun, along with major works examining the impact of landmark Supreme Court decisions on American society. Greenhouse also served as president of the American Philosophical Society and has been a prominent member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She holds degrees from Radcliffe College and Yale Law School and has received 13 honorary degrees for her contributions to journalism and law.
