Linda Hill is a Clinical Professor and Founding Faculty of the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). She obtained her MD from the University of Ottawa in Canada and completed her transitional internship at McGill University. Furthermore, she completed a residency in Preventive Medicine at UCSD/SDSU. Hill has served as the Medical Director of the Exercise and Physical Activity Resource Center at UCSD and was the immediate past Program Director of the General Preventive Medicine Residency. She has engaged in prevention research and teaching and has provided support to various organizations including the National Institutes of Health and the California Office of Traffic Safety. With an extensive publication record, comprising over 110 peer-reviewed papers, 4 book chapters, and 140 abstracts, Hill is recognized for her contributions to the field of preventive medicine. Outside of her academic work, she enjoys playing classical piano and participating in ocean sports.
