Dr. Linda Hoffa

Biography

Linda Hoffa is an adjunct professor at Penn Carey Law with significant experience in criminal defense, corporate investigations, and compliance. She has successfully conducted hundreds of investigations and participated in over 30 federal jury trials, focusing on white-collar economic crimes, healthcare, and government procurement. Hoffa's legal career has included high-ranking positions such as Chief of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Philadelphia and Senior Executive Staff of the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office. She also served as senior criminal counsel for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. A recognized expert, Hoffa has received the U.S. Department of Justice Director’s Award for Superior Performance and was inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2007. She has engaged in speaking at numerous prestigious seminars and conferences, including events sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice and American Bar Association. Furthermore, Hoffa has an extensive teaching career, having taught trial advocacy at Villanova University and Temple University, as well as serving as adjunct faculty at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Additionally, she began her legal career by clerking for the late Honorable Dickinson R. Debevoise in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
