Dr. Linda Kim is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Center for Global Nursing Health at the School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research primarily focuses on evaluating the effects of multi-level structures and processes on healthcare provider and patient outcomes. Currently, her work investigates the relationship between the work environment and self-reported levels of burnout among healthcare workers. She is the Principal Investigator on several collaborative projects aimed at promoting the well-being of healthcare workers, including an NIMH R01 study exploring the effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection and social determinants of health on neuroinflammation associated with depression. Dr. Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern California and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing and PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, she completed post-doctoral training in evidence-based quality improvement methods and implementation science through the Veterans Administration Quality Scholars Program and underwent health services research training at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and UCLA School of Public Health.
