Biography

Linda Ng Fat is a Senior Research Fellow and Co-Principal Investigator on the Health Survey England (HSE) project at University College London. With over a decade of experience, she leads a team at UCL, collaborating with NatCen and NHS England to set the research direction for the team and enhance engagement in health surveys. She is passionate about health surveillance, monitoring diseases and risk factors, and establishing the extent of health inequalities through quantitative social science to improve public health outcomes. Linda's PhD in Epidemiology explored the determinants of alcohol abstinence using large longitudinal studies, including the British Cohort Study 1970 and the National Child Development Study 1958. Her notable work has earned her the Kettil-Brunn Society Early Career Researcher Award in 2012. Linda holds a Master of Science in Social Research Methods from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from UCL. She is also a recognized Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2014.
