Biography

Linda S. Pagani was a nurse at the Reine-Elizabeth Hospital for a decade before transitioning into academia in Canada. She holds degrees in experimental, school, and clinical psychology from Concordia and McGill Universities and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Université de Montréal. She has served as a professor in psychoeducation at Université de Montréal for three decades and has also worked at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan from 2003 to 2008. Recently, in 2024 and 2025, she is invited to teach at the Università della Calabria and the Università di Pavia. Recognized internationally for her contributions to mental health, lifestyle medicine, and social and public health policy regarding human development, her scientific publications focus on the risk and protective factors influencing human development. She directs an active laboratory at the School of Psychoeducation, mentoring MSc and PhD students, funded by SSHRC and CIHR, and supervises emerging researchers involved in various innovative projects worldwide. Her passion remains the flourishing of young adults, both in classroom settings and graduate studies, with teaching interests in research methodology and psychological evaluation of mental disorders prevalent among Quebec youth, alongside sustainable well-being in humans.
