Biography

Linda Robson is a qualified town and regional planner with a wide range of international experience across academic, public, and private sectors. She obtained her Ph.D. in Planning from the University of Pretoria in June 2011 and holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in town planning from the University of the Witwatersrand. She has lectured for several years and has held notable positions including Strategy Policy Officer for the Royal Town Planning Institute in London, where she also served as the web editor. In Johannesburg, she ran her own planning consultancy focusing on urban policy research and served as an external senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria. Currently, she is an Adjunct Teaching Fellow at the University of Western Australia, where her research interests include regional development and lagging regions, reflecting her commitment to contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Her teaching includes a variety of topics within geographical planning, urban development, and social geography.
