Biography

Lindsay Holmgren is an Associate Professor in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University, where she specializes in Strategy & Organization. She holds an MA and PhD in English Literature from McGill. Her research focuses on the influence of language in shaping audience responsibility and the philosophical narratological approaches to literature that inform her teaching and research. Holmgren has published articles spanning literary criticism, film, economics, and narrative theory. Recently, Holmgren received Insight Grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, reflecting her active research on the implications of COVID-19 and climate change on Canadian university students. As a past president of the International Society for the Study of Narrative, she has a prominent presence in the academic community, often participating in and organizing significant conferences in her field.
