Biography

Line Marie Breistrand is currently enrolled as a PhD student in International Relations at the University of Copenhagen. Her academic journey includes a Master's degree in Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, obtained in July 2022, and she also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Chinese political theory from East China Normal University, awarded in July 2018. Breistrand completed her Bachelor's degree in Peace Conflict Studies at Oslo New University College in January 2016. In addition to her studies, she has held a research fellow position at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) since November 2021. Breistrand's research interests focus on Chinese politics, including Chinese foreign policy, the Belt and Road Initiative, political communication, and China's role in the Arctic. Additionally, she investigates themes relevant to international relations, contributing to a deeper understanding of China's global impact.
