Dr. Lingjie Liu

Biography

Lingjie Liu is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he specializes in Neural Scene Representation and Neural Rendering. With a rich background in human performance modeling and 3D reconstruction techniques, his research focuses on developing advanced methodologies for rendering high-quality 3D geometries from multi-view images. Liu joined UPenn in January 2023, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to work with students and colleagues within the Computer and Information Science Department. His projects include groundbreaking works such as 'NeuS: Learning Neural Implicit Surfaces Volume Rendering Multi-view Reconstruction' and 'Drag GAN', showcasing innovative approaches to 3D generative models and interactive graphics. Liu's contributions to the field of visual computing seek to enhance the understanding and manipulation of 3D representations and human motion generation. Actively involved in the academic community, he is currently recruiting PhD students to further explore topics in neural representations and their applications across various domains.
