Biography

Lingyin Li is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Stanford University and a core investigator at the Arc Institute. Her research focuses on understanding the biochemical mechanisms of immunotransmitter cGAMP and its potential for treating cancer and autoimmunity. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2003 and earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the guidance of Dr. Laura Kiessling, a pioneer in chemical biology, in 2010. Following her doctoral studies, she trained postdoctorally with Dr. Timothy Mitchison at Harvard Medical School, where she was introduced to the field of chemical immunology. In 2015, she established her laboratory at Stanford, where she continues her work at the intersection of biochemistry and immunology.
