Biography

Lionel Gall is a Senior Lecturer in French at Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. He holds a Ph.D. in American Literatures and an interdisciplinary pre-doctoral degree in classical and modern European literatures and arts from Université Lyon III, Lyon, France. In addition, he has earned a French-German Degree in European Business Management from Reims Business School in France and Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Since 2005, he has served as the Lower Division Coordinator for the French unit and has been actively involved in various school committees, including the Introductory Language Program Council and Strategic Communication Review. He leads the Language Business Technology study abroad immersion program in Paris during the summer. Gall has received numerous teaching awards for his excellence in teaching, including the Teacher of the Year Award in the non-tenure category in 2015, awarded by the Ivan Allen College Student Advisory Board, and multiple Class 1940 and Class 1934 Course Survey Teaching Effectiveness Awards. His teaching effectiveness consistently scores high in student surveys, reflecting his commitment to quality education in French language and culture.
