Dr. Lisa Allee

Biography

Lisa Allee, MSW, LICSW is an Assistant Professor at the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine at Boston University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northeastern University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional background includes a decade of experience as a Clinical Social Worker in Inpatient Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where she led the Community Violence Response Team and developed community-based injury prevention programs. Allee's research interests encompass injury prevention across the lifespan, addressing issues such as community violence, firearm injuries, and trauma-informed care. She is involved in multiple professional organizations and co-chairs the Massachusetts Prevent Injury Network. Additionally, Allee mentors medical students engaged in research within her department.
