Biography

Dr. Lisa Allen specializes in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, holding an MD from the University of Western Ontario. She completed her fellowship at Women’s College Hospital where she focused on developing surgical skills related to pelvic floor surgery, laparoscopic urogynaecologic surgery, and laser endometriosis surgery. After her fellowship, Dr. Allen joined the Section of Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Section of Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology at the Hospital for Sick Children and is the Site Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Mount Sinai Hospital, as well as the President of the North American Society for Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology. Dr. Allen has co-chaired the CANPAGO, which is the pediatric gynecology subspecialty committee of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has authored several publications addressing critical issues in adolescent gynecological health, including topics such as menstrual suppression and the management of rare conditions in pediatric patients.
