Biography

Lisa Brighton holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Bath, an MSc in Palliative Care, and a PhD in Health Services Research from King’s College London. Lisa has co-developed an online platform to public involvement in palliative care research and served as co-chair of the public involvement executive group at the Cicely Saunders Institute from 2018 to 2020. During 2022-2023, she completed an ESRC post-doctoral fellowship and returned to her work at the Cicely Saunders Institute, focusing on psychologically informed palliative care rehabilitation. Her expertise also extends to understanding the interplay between psychological and social factors in individuals with life-limiting illnesses, and she has contributed to international guidelines and knowledge exchange events.
