Biography

Lisa Dobias is an Associate Professor at the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations within the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. She has a distinguished teaching career, receiving the Texas Excellence Teaching Award from the College of Communication in both 2002 and 2009, along with the Outstanding Educator of the Year honor from the Central Texas Austin Advertising Federation in 2009 and 2016. Lisa was also the recipient of the Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award in 2010, which is a system-wide recognition across the University of Texas. With a strong background in Marketing and German from the University of Texas at Austin, she has extensive industry experience in client service for various advertisements, including international and local brands. Beyond her academic responsibilities, Lisa is a dedicated volunteer in community organizations and enjoys gardening, photography, and consulting for non-profit organizations. She is also a passionate music enthusiast, constantly exploring new challenges and opportunities for growth.
