Dr. Lisa Holle

Biography

Lisa Holle is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy, specializing in hematology and oncology clinical practice. With a career spanning over 30 years, she has worked in various settings including private hospitals, academic medical centers, and medical communications. Dr. Holle completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, followed by a specialized oncology residency at UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She is a board-certified oncology pharmacist and has focused her research on patient decision-making, the roles and value of oncology pharmacists, cannabis research, and effective team-based care delivery. Dr. Holle has contributed significantly to the field through her publications on the documented value of the oncology pharmacist in interprofessional teams and cancer treatment outcomes. Currently, she is integrating her research with MyDispense, an online pharmacy simulation program that trains learners in a safe environment. Dr. Holle has served as Past President of the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association and held various roles in the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners. She actively participates in professional organizations and is a co-editor of notable pharmacy education textbooks, including DiPiro’s Pharmacotherapy.
