Biography

Dr. Lisa Kalynchuk serves as the Vice-President of Research & Innovation at the University of Victoria. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alberta and both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Behavioural Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Kalynchuk joined the University of Victoria on July 1, 2017, where she holds an academic appointment in the Division of Medical Sciences and an adjunct appointment in the Department of Psychology. Her research is primarily focused on the neurobiology of depression, the psychiatric complications of epilepsy, and the effects of chronic stress on brain behavior.
