Biography

Lisa Kramer is the Verecan Chair in Behavioural Finance at the University of Toronto. She has been part of the university since 2001, holding several cross-appointments across various faculties, including the Department of Management at UTM, the Institute of Management Innovation at UTM, and the Rotman School of Management on the St. George campus, as well as the Department of Economics. Her research has been widely covered by major media outlets such as the National Post, Globe & Mail, CBC Television, Bloomberg Business, and The Wall Street Journal. As a financial consultant, she regularly engages with audiences about topics in behavioural finance and investments. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for the University of Toronto Asset Management and is a member of the Joint Sponsors of the University Pension Plan (Ontario). Additionally, she has held the position of President of the Northern Finance Association, a Canadian scholarly not-for-profit organization. Her academic work includes research in areas such as Behavioural Finance, Investments, Market Seasonality, Human Decisions, Moods, and Emotions.
