Biography

Lisa B. Masters earned her dental degree from the University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Dentistry and pursued further education in a three-year specialty program in Periodontics. She is a board-certified periodontist with expertise in diagnosing and treating various types of gum diseases, utilizing both surgical and non-surgical therapies. Dr. Masters is also certified in the use of several types of sedation to alleviate anxiety for patients concerned about surgical treatments. She is a member of various professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Dental Association, the Southwest Society of Periodontists, the Texas Dental Association, and the Texas Society of Periodontists. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio Dental School, she shares her knowledge and experience with students in the Department of Periodontics.
