Biography

Lisa H. Merck is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine at Brown University and has a tenured position as a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Vice Chair of Research at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She serves as the Assistant Dean for Acute Care Research and Clinical Trials and is the Medical Director of Acute Clinical Research at the VCU Health System. Merck also holds a joint appointment as an Adjunct Professor of Neurosurgery at Brown University. With a strong background in emergency medicine and a focus on advancing acute care research, Dr. Merck's work aims to improve patient outcomes in some of the most urgent medical situations.
