Dr. Lisa Sanderink

Biography

Lisa Sanderink is an Assistant Professor in the Section Governance Technology Sustainability at the University of Twente. Her research is focused on examining governance structures for climate-neutral cities as part of the EU Cities Mission. She collaborates with various organizations, including Lund University and the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, on projects like Breaking Silos. Lisa's work is published in reputable journals such as Energy Policy and Global Environmental Politics. She is actively involved in the Earth System Governance network and contributes to the BMS Ethics Committee and the Program Committee for the Master in Environmental Energy Management. Prior to joining the University of Twente, she worked as a policy officer at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, focusing on energy transition policies in the Netherlands and earned her PhD from VU University Amsterdam, focusing on the governance structure of the climate-energy nexus. She holds an MSc in Environment Resource Management and a BA in European Studies.
