Dr. Lisa Vinci

Biography

Lisa M. Vinci, MD MS is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago. She received her medical degree from Washington University and completed her residency in internal medicine at Northwestern Medical Center. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Primary Care Group and faculty member in general internal medicine, as well as the Associate Vice-Chair for Ambulatory Operations in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Vinci is actively involved in medical education and has co-directed the Quality Assessment Improvement Curriculum (QAIC), a two-year longitudinal course in quality improvement for Internal Medicine residents for six years. Additionally, she co-directs the Pritzker Scholarship Discovery Track in Quality and Safety, which aims to develop medical students into future leaders in quality improvement and patient safety. Her research primarily focuses on developing care coordination and care management programs for complex patients in a primary care setting. She holds a Master's Degree in Healthcare Quality and Safety from Northwestern University and has contributed to several publications in the field of population health management and depression screening in primary care.
