Biography

Lisa Williams is a social psychologist at the University of New South Wales with a focus on how emotions shape social processes. Her research delves into the adaptive functions of positive social emotions, particularly pride and gratitude. Through her work, she explores intrapersonal, interpersonal, and intergroup processes related to emotional experiences. Lisa's research is aimed at uncovering the nature of socio-affective experiences and how they influence behavior and social interactions. Her work employs a variety of empirical methods, including emotion inductions and experience sampling procedures, to study emotional experiences and their implications for well-being and prosocial behavior.
