Biography

Lisan Henricks received a PhD in 2022 from the Behavioural Science Institute at Radboud University in Nijmegen. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Child & Family Studies at Utrecht University, Lisan's research focuses on understanding the onset and development of social anxiety in adolescents. The work investigates various risk factors associated with social anxiety, including elements such as social status (popularity and likeability) and cognitive biases which encompass attention and interpretation biases. In addition to research, Lisan teaches courses within the Bachelor's program for Pedagogical Sciences as well as the Master's program in Clinical Child and Family Education Studies ('Orthopedagogiek'). Lisan is also a member of the educational committee for the bachelor's program in Pedagogical Sciences as of September 2022.
