Biography

Liudi Jiang holds a BEng and MSc in Applied Physics and received her PhD from the University of Dundee in 2002. She was appointed as a RCUK Academic Fellow/Lecturer at the University of Southampton in 2006, became an Associate Professor in 2013, and was promoted to Professor in 2015. She is a Chartered Physicist and Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Technology. With over 20 years of experience, Professor Jiang's interdisciplinary research focuses on wearable sensors, biomechanics, digital health, and micro/nano systems. She has successfully led numerous projects addressing healthcare technologies, including intelligent body interface systems and advanced micro/nano devices, attracting more than £20M in research funding from various prestigious organizations. Professor Jiang has published over 100 papers in reputable journals and is actively involved in various research groups and committees. Her passion for research-led teaching integrates cutting-edge research with engineering education, supervising numerous high-impact projects for MSc students.
