Dr. Liyakat Takim

Biography

Liyakat Takim is a Professor of Religious Studies at McMaster University, Canada, where he holds the Sharjah Chair in Global Islam. He is a prolific writer and speaker, having authored and/or translated eight books and is currently engaged in writing his ninth book, which focuses on Qur’anic exegesis. With over 140 scholarly works published in various journals and books, Takim's expertise encompasses gender, sexuality, education, and religious studies. He is widely recognized for his contributions to Islamic studies and continues to have a significant impact on the academic community.
