Biography

LizAnn is a trusted advisor to companies, organizations, and individuals facing complex business and legal challenges. She is a highly accomplished professional with a remarkable career that spans the legal, academic, and public sectors. Her career has been shaped by working collaboratively to identify opportunities, implement value-enhancing strategies, and solve problems. LizAnn brings an unusual range of business, strategy, and regulatory expertise in large organizations and startups. She regularly advises entrepreneurs, evaluates investments in businesses, and serves on public, private, and governmental boards. As an Acting Professor of Practice at Cornell Law School, she taught at Cornell Ithaca and Cornell Tech, starting in 2018. Before that, LizAnn retired as a Corporate Partner at Cravath in 2005 after a wonderful twenty-plus year career, where her practice focused on domestic and international corporate finance transactions, corporate governance and reporting matters, mergers and acquisitions, and liability management transactions across various industries, including technology, financial services, industrials, and consumer products. From January 2022 to September 2022, she served as Deputy Director for Disclosure Operations in the Division of Corporation Finance at the SEC, where she led a team overseeing disclosure review programs and emerging areas in fintech and digital assets. Her experiences have deepened her passion for working with entrepreneurs, making her a valuable sounding board for strategy and regulatory matters. Additionally, she is a senior partner at Braven, an early-stage investment firm, and serves on the board of a SPAC that capitalizes on emerging market trends.
