Dr. Lizanne Destefano

Biography

Lizanne DeStefano is a Professor in the School of Psychology at Georgia Institute of Technology. She serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) and is an Associate Dean for the College of Sciences Education. Dr. DeStefano received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and School Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. Her research interests focus on Educational Psychology and School Psychology, with a specific emphasis on evaluating sustainability in innovative STEM educational programs. She has been involved in multi-site, large-scale research center initiatives, particularly aimed at programs serving underrepresented groups in STEM. Throughout her career, Dr. DeStefano has published numerous articles in leading academic journals and contributes significantly to the field of educational evaluation and research.
