Dr. Lloyd Gruber

Biography

Lloyd Gruber is an Associate Professor in the MPA Programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he directs the programme and has been a faculty member since 2006. He is a recognized expert in international comparative political economy with a focus on globalization, international governance, and income inequality. Gruber, who previously served as an Associate Professor at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy, has taught courses covering foreign economic policy and international political economy. His research has led to various visiting positions at prestigious institutions such as the Brookings Institution and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Gruber is currently completing a book on the politics of schools and universities in developing countries, reflecting his insights into education policy. He has authored the book 'Ruling the World: Power Politics and the Rise of Supranational Institutions' and published numerous articles and book chapters on related topics, demonstrating his extensive engagement with critical issues in political economy and international relations.
