Longhui Zeng is an Associate Research Scientist in Cell Biology at Yale School of Medicine. His long-term research interests involve elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying infectious diseases and immune responses. He earned his PhD in Biology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2018. During his doctoral studies, he gained expertise in protein chemistry and structural biology, focusing on how Salmonella infects host cells and forms biofilms. He completed his postdoctoral training in Xiaolei Su’s lab starting September 1, 2018, where he received new conceptual and technical training in phase separation, T cell activation, and the biochemical reconstitution of CAR T cell therapy design. This training enables him to dissect immune cell signaling mechanisms further and manipulate T cell signaling to enhance T cell immunotherapy. He has published extensively, with frequent collaborations in various research publications, and is actively involved in academic achievements and community engagement.
