Biography

Dr. Lonie Salkowski received a Bachelor of Science at Mount Mary College in Biology and Chemistry and her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed Transitional Nuclear Medicine residency training at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, followed by Radiology residency and Breast Imaging fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Salkowski has interests in teaching at various levels, including medical students and colleagues, and has developed research interests in curriculum development related to how students learn and assimilate concepts. Her pursuits, beginning at MCW and continuing at UW, involved integrating a computer-based radiologic anatomy curriculum into small group settings of the UW Anatomy 711 course. Her contributions led to her membership in the Anatomy Task Force and Year 1 Curriculum Development Committees.
