Dr. Lora Sabin

Biography

Lora Sabin is a Professor at Boston University School of Public Health in the Department of Global Health. She holds a PhD and MA from Harvard University, as well as a BA from Stanford University. With a focus on global health, her research includes applied interventions and economic assessments related to HIV, malaria, and maternal and child health across sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Her recent projects assess cost-effectiveness of combined interventions to improve HIV treatment outcomes in South Africa, and she has worked on designing programs for adolescents in Kenya and improving health outcomes for veterans. Lora has taught health economics and program management and co-directs a module on decision-making in public health for the school's online MPH program. Prior to joining Boston University, she was the Academic Director at the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program in Vietnam and has taught at various universities across East Asia. Lora has received multiple teaching awards at Boston University and has been actively involved in research, contributing to various international health initiatives and government training programs.
