Biography

Lorenz Adrian is a distinguished professor in the field of Geobiotechnology at the Technical University of Berlin and holds a joint position with the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig. His research focuses on molecular aspects of anaerobic microbial processes, particularly in relation to environmental challenges such as climate change and pollution. His team investigates microbial processes for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and integrating biological systems into energy-efficient production of chemicals and fuels.
