Dr. Loretta Chou

Biography

Loretta Chou is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Emerita, at Stanford University, specializing in Foot and Ankle Surgery. Over her career, she has played a pivotal role in various academic and clinical leadership positions, including Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery and Director of the Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Stanford. She served as Deputy Editor for the 'Foot Ankle' journal and was an editor for the 'Orthopaedic Knowledge Update'. Dr. Chou is a Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association and has been involved with the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Her clinical focus includes treatment of foot and ankle trauma, surgical reconstruction, and management of arthritis in the ankle joint. She has published extensively and remains engaged in educational programs and the development of young surgeons in her specialty.
