Biography

Professor Lorna Marson is a leading expert in transplantation surgery, serving as a Professor of Transplant Surgery at the University of Edinburgh and an Honorary Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. She holds a Personal Chair in Transplant Surgery since August 2018, following her roles as a Senior Lecturer and Reader. Her contributions to the field have been recognized through her Fellowship with the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2024, along with numerous awards throughout her career, including the Clinician Scientist Award from the Academy of Medical Sciences/Health Foundation.
