Dr. Lorraine Dyke

Biography

Dr. Lorraine Dyke is a Professor of Management and Strategy at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. With a career spanning 36 years, Dr. Dyke has played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the university. She has held various leadership positions, including Vice-President (Finance and Administration), where she served as the chief financial and administrative officer, overseeing Financial Services, Human Resources, and Facilities Management. Additionally, she was the inaugural Deputy Provost (Academic Operations Planning), focusing on strategic planning and academic quality assurance. Dr. Dyke has experience as Associate Dean of Professional Graduate Programs, where she contributed to the domestic and international MBA programs. A founder of the Centre for Research on Education and Women at Work, she is recognized for her extensive publications on workforce diversity and has consulted for major public and private sector organizations. Her research has earned her multiple awards, including the Leading Women Building Communities Award from the Government of Ontario and the Carleton Graduate Mentoring Award. Dr. Dyke is currently accepting new MSc and PhD students in her field of expertise.
