Dr. Louis Philippe Sirois

Biography

Louis-Philippe Sirois is an Associate Professor at the School of Accounting at Université Laval, specializing in accounting research and education. He holds a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of British Columbia, a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting from HEC Montreal, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in professional accounting from HEC Montreal. His research interests primarily focus on Audit and Management Accounting, with a strong emphasis on practical accounting applications. Sirois has served as an editorial reviewer for several academic journals, including Accounting Research and the European Accounting Review, showcasing his commitment to advancing the discipline of accounting. He is actively involved in various university committees and has also engaged in professional governance activities, particularly with the Ordre des CPA du Québec. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Sirois mentors graduate students and participates in the development of new research centers within the university. He was awarded the Socrates Award in 2018, recognizing his contributions to research in the field of accounting.
